In anticipation of Season 2 I decided that I wanted a Game of Thrones poster - who doesn’t right? I also decided to buy three extras and give them away. I’m feeling generous and wanna share my GoT love. Each poster is 24x36, so normal poster size. I’ll pick three winners. The first place winner will get their choice of the three posters above, the second place will get their choice (between the remaining two) and the third place will get whichever hasn’t been chosen. If you are picked for 2nd or 3rd place and don’t like either of the posters please let know and I’ll pick someone else.
Rules:
- You don’t have to be following me so don’t feel obligated.
- You have to feel comfortable with giving me your address and full name. I’ll ship anywhere - including international, so don’t worry about that.
- Only reblog once. No spamming! I will be checking and If I see that you aren’t following this simple rule, you’ll be disqualified.
- Likes do count and it will give you an extra entry.
- The winners will be chosen by a random number generator so I won’t be playing favorites or anything like that.
- I’d like to pick the winners on April 1st since that is when the second season premieres. I know that’s fast but hey it’s my giveaway. I may or may not extend it, we’ll see.
- I’ll contact the winner via askbox, so please be sure those are open. If the chosen winners don’t respond within 48 hours I’ll be picking a new winner. That goes for all three.
- That’s it! Happy blogging.

Message in a bottle.
When you think of a message in a bottle, you probably think of the ocean or some body of water carrying said bottle. Well the message never quite left the town because there just wasn’t enough water.
The community of Kalimpong, India, does have water in some parts however, for most of the community there, clean water is scarce. Our goal is to provide this community with a reliable water source by developing a water harvesting system as well as a water filtration system so that the residents will have access to clean water; a necessity for life.
All I ask of you is that you please take a look at the site below and like, reblog, Tweet, and share this in any way you can to help spread the word so that we may give to those in need! If you like what we do and are able to give even a small amount, it will be greatly appreciated not only by us, but the community of Kalimpong as well!
If you have any questions or would like more information, please visit the site below for contact information.
Thank you and I hope you have a great day! :)
I didn’t want to listen to any Whitney Houston songs when I found out she died because I knew it would hurt. I actually teared when I couldn’t avoid listening to her tribute in the car this morning. Almost every single one of her songs took me back to a part of my life. I used to play & even quote…
To the Police who think it’s okay to use chemicals on students who are PEACEFULLY protesting.
Fuck you. That is all.
College.
Societies way of sucking up the nonexistent cash that all students wish they had. It’s societies way of fucking you over for a good portion of your life so that you’re in debt for a few years of your life then by the time you are done paying off your debts you start from ground zero all over again.
Then you keep working so you can save up some money and maybe go on a vacation to some place you’ve always wanted to see or maybe just a world trip. Maybe you will save up for that dream car or something more down to earth like making a child with cancers one wish come true. Maybe you don’t really give a shit at that point in life and just spend your money and live day to day.
All I want to know is, how did college really help you? Did you use anything you learned in a college classroom in the real world? Did you HONESTLY, actually apply any knowledge from your degree to your actual work? Maybe you did and if so, then good for you. But for the most of us, we go to college, we get a degree, and end up in a completely irrelevant field of work where we don’t even use our degree. So what are we really doing in college? We are spending money to get a fucking piece of paper that says we can do something. Oh, did I forget to mention that we taught OURSELVES for the most part?
I mean seriously, I don’t learn anything in my CSE12 class. I haven’t gone to any of the lectures, haven’t read the book, and haven’t even read the profs power points. CSE 15L, I haven’t read the book, I haven’t learned anything from his lectures, and the labs are the biggest 3 hour waste of your time. SIO 40 is fairly interesting because it’s relevant with what’s going on with our planet today but still a ridiculously easy class which requires no reading and maybe like 30 minutes of actual studying for the midterm. Then there is Anthro 101. This class is the one I like best this quarter because it’s theoretical and there are no right answers. Heck there aren’t really any REAL answers at all. You just state your position and back it up with readings and other people’s research and you’ve got your standpoint. Very interesting class and I do enjoy it. This is the one class I have where I actually am learning from my professor and I am glad that he is my professor because he is very knowledgeable in his subject and explains it thoroughly.
So overall I learn absolutely nothing and am wasting my time in two of my classes. Somewhat learn some basic stuff about the Earth in SIO 40 and actually learn in Anthro 101. I have just about aced every test that I have taken in these courses for which I went and learned the info myself. For what reason am I paying these professors if they are not teaching me anything and I have to learn it on my own? Why can’t I just not waste my time in college and teach myself whatever I want to learn and then go get a job? I’m paying about 4.8k to learn about something I’m not even majoring in? I also find out that I am no longer required to take CSE 15L and cannot drop the class and have it waived. And with the current economy, I don’t think half of the graduates will even be able to get a job upon graduation.
All in all, I am dropping Computer Engineering as my major and swapping to Economics with an emphasis in Management Science. Hopefully I’ll graduate in a year from now so I can go to a different university and get a Finance degree.
My dreams may never come true. I may feel like a total failure for the rest of my life. I might have just thrown my future out the window. But I will NEVER quit trying. I WILL be successful, one way or another.
Reality speaks to the mind. Dreams whisper to the heart.
“Your in it.” Your what is in it? Your face? Your money? Your pet rock? Your mother?

Steve Jobs, founder of the ever so popular Apple company, has passed away. I personally have never been a fan of Apple products but the man behind the products is an inspiration to many, including myself. I wish I could have met the man before he passed away just so I can say that I’ve shaken hands with a man who has not only changed technology, but the world as well. I may not know him but I can tell he had passion for his work. That passion was fueled by his dreams which he never ceased to follow. College drop out, garage company, 350 billion dollar industry. All because he had a dream and he followed it all while fighting cancer. Just stop and think for a moment, what would Mr. Jobs have done next? What new innovative product would have arisen? The world can only postulate. May you Rest In Peace Steve Jobs.
